William (Bill) Blockus was born and raised in Edison and resided in Manville since 1985. He passed away suddenly on June 16 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. A graduate of J.P. Stevens High School, he was employed by Greystone Park Hospital, Morris Plains, as a Media Technician for the past 16 years. Bill's family was the most important part of his life, and he would do anything to help those in need. He loved the outdoors and in particular, fishing.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Regina (Zajaczkowski) Blockus. He is survived by his brother Bruce Blockus, his partner Caecilla Hamidjaja of Henderson, NV, his sister, Gina Blockus and brother-in-law, Jack Soper of Manville, NJ. Also survived by nephews Christopher and Alexander Blockus in addition to Aunts, Uncles and Cousins whom he loved dearly and many other loving family members and good friends. Because of the suddenness of Bill's death, he was able to donate his tissue and organs so others may live through NJ Sharing Network.
Visiting hours from 6pm-9pm on Wednesday, June 21, at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Funeral Service 10am on Thursday, June 22, at the funeral home.
