Peder M. Ness died June 6 at RWJ at Somerset in Somerville. Mr. Ness was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in North Polainfield for 45 years and then Valley Stream, Long Island for 20 years before moving to Bridgewater in 2012. He retired in 1982 from Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ after beginning his career of 45 years with Bell Labs in New York City.
A graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, Mr. Ness was a Navy Veteran of WW II and a Mason belonging to the Jerusalem Lodge #26 in Plainfield. He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence in 1986 and his second wife, June, in 2012. Also his siblings, George Ness and Lillie Lundberg.
Surviving are his daughters Louise and Janet Ness and Nancy Fedowitz, 2 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Visiting hours on Friday, June 12, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville. Funeral Service will begin 10am on Saturday, June 13, at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Chapel, 95 Mt. Airy Rd., Basking Ridge.
