Marie A. (Vallone) Harmer, 85, passed away peacefully and entered the kingdom of God on February 16, 2016, at her home in Palm Coast, Florida.
Marie, a life-long resident Somerville, until relocating to Branchburg for several years and eventually to Palm Coast FL in 2013.
Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband and love of her life, Raymond who she was dedicated to for their 59 years of marriage. The nucleus of Marie’s life were her husband, Raymond and her family. Surviving Marie are sons, John and Patti Harmer, Wayne and Vicki Harmer, and daughter, Donna and Michael Calvani, grandchildren Raymond,Emily,Mary and Madison and six great grandchildren, Elise, Rebekah, Meredith, Jude, Levi and Isaac along with the love of her life-long friends. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Vallone. Marie’s brother and sister, Dominick Vallone and Nancy Stefanchick predeceased her.
Marie was a homemaker and then had a 25-year career with Ethicon a division of Johnson & Johnson. She retired in 1990.
Marie enjoyed walks on the beach, attending exercise classes, participating in games, attending church service and cooking.
Marie was a devout Catholic and her love of God and her faith sustained her throughout her life.
Visitation will be at the Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville on Friday February 19,from 4-8pm. Her funeral service will begin at 10am on Saturday,February 20 at the funeral home followed by her burial at the Evergreen Cemetery in Basking Ridge.
