Marie E. Laggini of Somerville, NJ, 89, passed away on September 23, 2017.
She was born March 11, 1928 in Pompton Lakes, NJ and resided in Somerville, NJ. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, aunt and friend.
A gourmet cook with a passion for sewing, knitting and quilting, she was a vocalist who sang professionally for many years and performed in the church choir and at Somerset Valley Players. She had worked as an officer of the First National Bank of Somerville, NJ, and also volunteered for the Development Office of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Laggini and brother Joseph Hoyas. Surviving are her son Robert and Joyce Springuel; Deborah Laggini; daughter Marguerite Zdenek and Albert Zdenek, Jr.; son Christopher and Jennifer Laggini; Barbara Laggini; daughter Stephanie Fiore and Michael Fiore; daughter Teresa Sankner and Joseph Sankner as well as 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her sister Marguerite Gall and 5 nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 1, from 5pm-8pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 2, at 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville NJ. Interment to follow at church cemetery, Somerville.
