Frank J. Ziets, 82, a longtime resident of Bridgewater , passed away at home on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. He died in the company of loving family members, neighbors and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 6th, at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville , New Jersey . Visitation is on Thursday, January 5th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville , New Jersey .
Frank was born in Forest City , Pennsylvania on January 14, 1929, later moved with his family to Massillon , Ohio . He served in the United States Navy between World War II and the Korean War, and settled in the Somerville area upon his discharge in 1949. He worked as a delivery driver for Koster’s Bakery for a number of years, and completed his work career as a maintenance man with Ortho Diagnostics in 1991.
Frank was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church for over 60 years, and was a strong supporter of Catholic education. He contributed to the church and to the support of Immaculate Conception School and Immaculata High School .
