Frances DeJesso, 91 of Cumming, GA., passed away on May 20, 2015. Born in East Orange to Frank and Matilda (Musano) Collalto. She lived in Roselle Park with her husband Joseph DeJesso, raising four children Peter, Theresa Beran, Joseph, and Donna Palmer. They retired in Cresco, PA, and she moved to Bridgewater, NJ after the passing of her husband of forty-eight years.
She had a lifelong career in data processing, working for Western Electric and later at Joule. She was well known as a bell toned soprano at her local church choirs, as well as,teaching CCD in her spare time. Frances helped raise the future generations of her family, until her early eighties. In her retirement she enjoyed knitting and crocheting and lead senior citizens and church groups. She also was a member of the Somerville Columbettes. She moved to Cumming, GA., to join her son Peter and daughter Donna in 2004.
Mrs. DeJesso was predeceased by her siblings, P.M. Collalto, Frank Collalto, Carmelina Bellina, and Antoinette Collalto. She survived by her children, sisters Lucille Olcheski and her husband, Raymond, Josephine Collalto, and Connie Besmer; eight grandchildren, Ross, Joseph, Michael, Amanda, Anthony, Peter, Paul, and Alexander, and four great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30am on Wednesday, May 27, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Somerville, NJ followed by graveside services at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 6pm to 9pm at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville.
