Franklin Park, NJ
Edward J. Jankowski passed away June 29 at St. Peter's Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Salem, Ohio and had resided in Franklin Park, NJ.
He is predeceased by his parents Joseph (1985) and Margaret Jankowski (2004). He is survived by his wife Paula, his sons Joseph of Franklin Park,NJ and Michael Cogan (wife, Liz) of Toms River,NJ, his sisters Barbara Hollasch ( husband Ed) of Holland Twp., NJ and Carolyn Ruiz of Kingston, PA. and his nephews Joseph and Anthony, many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Edward graduated in 1970 from Immaculata High School, Somerville, NJ and later worked there for several years as a guidance counselor. He graduated from Kings College, Wilkes Barre, PA in 1974 with a BA in English. He entered the seminary in 1977 and studied Theology at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN and at the Vatican in Rome where he received his Doctorate in Theology.
Mr. Jankowski was a teacher for the Carteret School District for 12 years. Eddie was a compassionate and loving man who spent his his life helping others. He enjoyed going to concerts, especially Billy Joel and Bon Jovi.
