Dominick S. Vallone passed into eternal rest on Thursday, February 6, at home. Mr. Vallone was born in Yonkers, NY and resided in Somerville for over 80 years. He retired in 1993 from Ce De Candy, Union, after a long and distinguished career in plant management. He was an avid aviation enthusiast who previously held a pilot's license, enjoyed building model airplanes and built and flew radio controlled airplanes for many years. Mr. Vallone was also a skilled tradesman who could build and fix almost anything. Friends and family alike would often call him for advice related to home projects.
He was predeceased in 1993 by his wife of 43 years, Betty C. Vallone and his son Roger A. Vallone who passed away in 2013. Surviving are his sister, Marie Harmer of Palm Coast, FL, as well as one brother, Joseph Vallone of Finderne. He leaves behind two loving daughters, Deborah Vallone of Flemington and Sharon Vallone-Kosensky of Lebanon Township, four loving grandchildren, Greg and Marc Vallone of Georgia and Matthew and Michael Kosensky of New Jersey and three beautiful great grandchildren, Vincent, Anthony and Luci of Georgia.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Monday, February 10, at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville followed by an Entombment at St. Bernard Mausoleum in Bridgewater. Visitation from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, February 9, at the funeral home.
